[Case Study of Introduction to the Medical Industry] Spring-Loaded Heavy-Duty Casters

A skillful fusion of design and functionality! A case study on the introduction of casters with reinforced springs for the movement of medical devices.

We would like to introduce a case where the heavy-duty caster with springs, 'LSZF-PATH 160K-ELS-FA-920537 / -920587', was implemented for a medical device manufacturer. The mobile X-ray device is one of the successful products at this company, and initially, the caster wheels were from another manufacturer, and the brackets were also produced by other companies. Additionally, there were several occurrences of the tread coming off due to spring malfunctions. In response, a team of experts from Blickle, a sales company in Spain, closely collaborated with this company to design a new caster from scratch. As a result, complete conductive measures were applied to the brackets and wheels, reducing the risk of unwanted electrostatic shocks. [Challenges] - The caster experienced several instances of the tread coming off due to spring malfunctions. - The wheels collided with the brackets, causing cracks in the tread. - There was a potential risk of electronic failures in the control device and danger to the operators. *You can download the Japanese leaflet. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Blickle Spring-Loaded Heavy-Duty Casters

Cost reduction with a compact design! Case study on the introduction of customized caster brakes.

We would like to introduce a case where Blickle's "spring-loaded heavy-duty casters" were implemented in an automobile manufacturer's factory. For various reasons, the engineers at the factory wanted to make slight modifications to the caster's wheel lock mechanism to optimize it for new applications. To prevent collisions, the design of the brake mechanism was changed by reducing the diameter by 65 millimeters. As a result, the changes to the new casters and the optimized brake mechanism led to a reduction in wear on equipment and safety shoes, significantly lowering repair costs. [Challenges] - The engineers wanted to make slight modifications to the caster's wheel lock mechanism to optimize it for new applications. - When the wheel brake lever is released, a protrusion extends, posing a risk of injury if used in other factories. *You can download the catalog. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Automated Guided Vehicles with Blickle Casters and Drive Wheels

Low installation height, heavy load specifications, and extremely high reliability! A case that achieved reliable operation of AGVs.

We would like to introduce a case study of the introduction of casters and drive wheels for unmanned transport vehicles at Grenzebach Maschinenbau. The company's unmanned transport vehicle (AGV) "Grenzebach L1200S" can enter under equipment such as desks, carts, frames, and shelves, lift the equipment, and transport it to a specific location. However, to transport heavy equipment with the AGV, casters with a high load-bearing capacity were necessary. Therefore, we adopted the specially designed caster 'LSD-ALTH 101K-AS-FA-902289'. With our dual-wheel casters and drive wheels, the AGV can now be used around the clock and operates effectively even in narrow spaces with a turning radius of less than 1 meter. [Case Overview] ■Challenges - A low installation height caster is required - The drive wheels of the AGV require particularly high wear resistance and maneuverability ■Products Introduced - Specially designed caster "LSD-ALTH 101K-AS-FA" - Specially designed drive wheel "GBA 178x50/8" *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
